Renowned musician and the creator of Mohan Veena, Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt makes his debut as a composer for the film Bavandar.
The film, directed by Jag Mohan Mundhra stars Nandita Das, Raghuvir Yadav, Deepti Naval and Rahul Khanna.
Grammy award winner Pt. Bhatt is among the most respected, rather revered, musicians in India. His foray into films is likely to bring a new aesthetic sense in our cinema.
Bavandar, an art movie, is based on a true incident in Rajasthan. And since the movie is set in Rajasthan, Pt. Bhatt, incorporated many tunes of Rajasthani origin, in his characteristic style.
Although the film has not had its theatrical release so far, it has already been sent to International Film Festival, Toronto, Canada.
