With the Diwali weekend a couple of weeks away, Aditya Chopra's Mohabbatein has begin to gather the hype. Not only does the film serve as the launching pad for five new faces it also introduces six new singers to the film industry.

A stickler that Aditya Chopra is, he chose to introduce six new voices rather than signing on the experienced singers. While the male singers Udbhav, Ishaan and Manohar Shetty have sung for Uday Chopra, Jimmy Shergill and Jugal Hansraj respectively, on the other hand female singers Shweta Pandit, Sonali Bhatavdekar, and Preetha Majumdar have rendered voices for Shamita Shetty, Kim Sharma And Preeti Jhangiani respectively.

All the six singers were chosen after they left Pamela Chopra impressed with their vocal skills in the singing contest 'Meri Awaaz Suno'. While Shweta Pandit is the youngest of the lot (just 14 years), Sonali Bhatavdekar is most extensively trained among them.

Of the male singers, Ishaan recently sung for Bhupen Hazarika's album 'The Complete Bhupen Hazarika' while Udbhav is working on a fusion album of his own.
