Much to the delight of ears, rendered jaded by the corny melodies, the Toronto-based music composer and Piano player Adnan Sami brings some whiffs of freshness to the Indian music scene.

With a strong base in western classical music Adnan is already an achiever at the age of 28. This cute and roly-poly lad has to his name an international album "The One and Only" with the Flamenco guitarist Jesse Cook, and a Hindi Album "Kabhie To Nazar Milao" with Asha Bhosle. In fact Adnan is the first musician to play classical Indian music on Piano, something that no one has dared to do before.

To successfully switch from Western classical to Indian classical Adnan went through extensive training under the tutelage of Santoor maestro Shiv Kumar Sharma who taught him the subtle nuances and finesse of Hindustani music. After honing his skills considerably, Adnan began to weave, in a delectable tapestry, magical melodies that are beautiful blend of east and west.

Barsaat, a song from his album with Asha Bhosle shows Adnan's expertise in handling various instruments be it Piano, Tabla or Violin. He creates the melodies that amateur listeners can also hum along, and his compositions are accessible for all occasions.
