Lucky Ali, the blue-eyed son of the legendary Mahmood, always had his thumbs down whenever a filmmaker approached him a role. But the talented singer now finally seems to have broken his resolve.

Life is taking a fresh turn for Lucky Ali at the age of 42. Just a couple of moons back he tied his second nuptial knot, with the first one still intact. And now he is raring to try tinsel town’s water.

Bobby Khan, the famous music video director, is moving on to greener pastures and trying his skills on the celluloid in Pooja Production's forthcoming venture and he has signed Lucky Ali for a role that suits the musician’s style.

In the film Lucky is supposed to play an obsessed music guru besotted by a girl much younger than him. The role should come naturally to him considering the year’s gap between his and his new wife’s age. Bobby, it is believed, has also signed the young actor Jimmy Shergill and is trying to rope in one of the Khans too.

For Lucky, the tinseltown foray comes a bit late. Although the doors to filmdom were always open to him, Lucky always opted for what he calls as his “first love” –music. With two albums already under his belt and flanked on each side by a woman, his debut under the arc lamps comes as just another feather in his cap.
