He is the latest craze in the tinsel town because he is lifting everybody’s spirits — from Bandra to Bhatinda — with his music. Yes, we are talking about the one and only Adnan Sami.
The “Filmi Mix” version of ‘Lift karade’ – the latest song from Adnan’s new album has already become a huge hit.
Born of a Pakistani father and Indian mother, Adnan Sami was featured in a BBC show at the age of nine for his command over piano. “As a child I was mischievous and people used to get tired of me,” remembers Adnan. “But even then music was an important part of my life. My favorite toys were record player and speakers.”
Acknowledged as the fastest keyboard player by Swedish Radio and Television, Adnan had a music career ranging from classical to jazz to modern pop rock. But things started looking different when he released ‘Kabhi To Nazar Milao’ with Asha Bhonsle.
“It’s wonderful to have an opportunity to work with Asha Ji, one of the best voice of recent time,” he opines. This album was followed by other albums like ‘Bhigi Bhigi Raton Mein’, ‘Mujko Thoda Lift Kara De’ and a few film songs, which made him a household name in Indian sub-continent.
Now Adnan is again in news with his latest album ‘Always Yours Adnan’, which is a collection of remix and instrumental numbers.
Adnan reveals why one should not ask him about his favorite actress? “How can you ask such a stupid question? There are so many of them,” he says. “But, if I am asked to pick up any one, then it would be Madhubala”. An avid Hindi movie music buff Adnan feels he is a man with many Plus Points “My whole body is full of Pluses”, the witty singer remarks looking at his chubby frame.
