Vasundhara: From Monsoon Wedding to ‘Popping’ it up

Singer-actress Vasundhara Das is all set to release her next pop album in January, 2002.
Since she is busy working on the album, she would act in films only after June next year, said Vasundhara, who was talking to newsmen in Kochi.
Ms Das, who made her cinematic debut in Kamal Haasan’s Hey Ram , will also give a performance at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Kochi on January 19.
Vasundhara, who played the central role in Mira Nair’s Monsoon Wedding, said she would act in Hindi films if she received good offers.
The talented singer also said she had a special liking for Malayalam films, adding that she had learnt a lot working with actors of the caliber of Mohanlal and Kamal Haasan.
