Crooning diva Asha Bhosle will lend her voice to raise funds for the charity ‘Help the Aged’ in India at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Friday.

Asha, who is known for her captivating singing style that embraces popular, classical and traditional Indian music, will sing an eclectic range of songs from Hindi films dating from the 1950s to the present day.

Performing alongside Asha in this rare Bollywood extravaganza will be singer Sudesh Bhosle and a twenty-three strong troupe of India's most talented musicians and dancers direct from Bollywood.

Citing the “plight” of aged as a serious problem, Asha says she is thrilled to perform for her fans in London to help thousands of older people in India “who desperately need our support”.

All proceeds from the concert and the after-show party will support Mobile Medicare Units in India. These funds will be used to bring free medical care through Mobile Medicare Units to the poor older people of India.

Asha’s Royal Albert Hall concert will be followed by a star-studded after-show reception.
