Pakistani band Strings is in India to promote their latest album Dhaani which also features Indian artists.
Both Bilal Maqsood and Faisal Kapadia believe that the exchange of art and culture between India and Pakistan can go a long way in strengthening the ties and promoting love and goodwill between the people of two countries.
Earlier this year the duo flew to India to record a special song with band Euphoria for the Indo-Pak cricket series. Following which Bilal and Faisal hit upon the idea of roping in Indian singers for their latest album Dhaani.
Their song 'Pal' was their first collaboration with someone from India. The track featured the duo with Indian pop singer Sagarika.
"We recorded it with Channel [V] for a programme called Jammin'. We met for the first time on the sets. We composed the song, wrote the lyrics, recorded the song, and shot the video in three days," says Faisal.
Then the duo had an afterthought about asking singer Hariharan to lend a classical touch to their track 'Bolo Bolo'.
"We had recorded the album and after listening to the song, we wondered if Hariharan sings with us it would add a classical touch to the melody," Faisal says.
But then it was only a matter of time when Bilal and Faisal did an unplugged session at the Hard Rock Café in Dubai with Hariharan.
