SCOOP!! & NEWS Veer Zaara music on ‘sales’ crescendo25th Oct 2004 19.00 IST By Aparajita Ghosh The rearranged melodies of late music maestro Madan Mohan in the songs of Yash Chopra’s Veer Zaara seem to have caught the fancy of music lovers. According to the estimates, the music album of Veer Zaara has sold more than a million copies. And the good thing is that the sales are showing no sign of dipping, with more and more albums moving off the shelves and into the collections of the admirers of simple soulful melodies. 
Veer Zaara music is also the first venture of Yash Raj Music label. Yash Chopra selected the tunes from Madan Mohan’s unused collection of yore and then the legendary composer’s son Sanjeev Kohli rearranged these melodies into songs that go with the theme of the movie. Apart from its ‘ear-pleasing’ melodies, it is the singing of Lata Mangeshkar in many songs that make it a musically rich album.
