SCOOP!! & NEWS Plucking the 'Strings' of friendship!08th June 2005 17.15 IST By Agencies Music knows no barriers and more and more cultural exchanges between India and Pakistan will cement the bond between the two neighboring countries, say the members of 'Strings', the famous Urdu-Hindi rock band from Pakistan. "It is a very positive step as music transcends all mundane barriers," said the duo, Bilal Maqsood and Faisal Kapadia who will be enthralling Bangalore audience with their popular number 'Dhaani' as part of the Listen India Tour on Tuesday. 
They have already released four albums in India, including Duur and Sir Kiye Ye Pahar. Describing the audience in Bangalore as "very enthusiastic and responsive," Bilal said he has very "fond memories" of their performance during 'Bangalore Habba' this year. The band shares the stage with Bombay Vikings, Rabbi Shergill of "Bulla" fame and Shibani Kashyap of Ho Gayee Hai Mohabbat who are performing in eight cities to "encourage concert culture" in India, Raman Raheja, Director, Brilliant Entertainment Networks, which has launched the tour, told reporters in Bangalore. "We want to popularise music from the Indian sub-continent with artists belonging to different genres and the tour will soon be taken to Pakistan followed by Middle East," he said.
