Filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh’s forthcoming film Home Delivery will have as many as 21 songs.
In the days when filmmakers are making songless movies, Sujoy seems to have taken the opposite lane. He is making a musical comedy with 21 songs, most of which will be played in the background score of the film.
The music is composed by Vishal-Shekhar, the duo who have also scored the music of the recent release Salaam Namaste .
It is learnt that the music album of ‘Home Delivery’ will comprise of 8 songs only. And if the response to the music is positive and if there is demand for other songs as well, a second album may also be released, according to Ghosh.
Ghosh says he is not having so many songs in the movie just for the heck of it. “These songs carry the story forward,” he says.
Actor Boman Irani has lent his voice to the title song of the movie. Boman, who plays a pizza delivery boy in the film, has also recorded another song for the film.
