But his vocal chords do make a song funky. When Aamir wielded the microphone for the song Aati Kya Khandala (in Ghulam ) the number became a rage in its time. The casual, tapori-like singing by the Khan became the USP of the song. While the news of Aamir singing a number for Rakesh Omprakash Mehra ’s forthcoming film Rang De Basanti broke out months back, more info has now trickled in. The song is titled “Lalkaar”. It has been composed by A R Rahman . The number is said to be a youthful track written by lyricist Prasoon Joshi. Rang De Basanti has Aamir pairing with British theatre actress Alice Patten. Besides Aamir, the movie stars Madhavan , Kunal Kapoor , Siddartha and Soha Ali Khan .
