Star-studded music launch of 'Salaam-E-Ishq'

The razzle-dazzle of tinsel town filled the air as the eleven Bollywood stars of Nikhil Advani’s movie Salaam-e-Ishq walked the ramp in style at the film’s music launch.

The music was released on December 2, Saturday evening at Mumbai's Grand Hyatt. The event was hosted by Katrina Kaif . The movie’s music directors Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy were the first to step on the stage for a live performance.

The evening elevated with the beginning of fashion show by designer Vikram Phadnis. At first, Phadnis’s creations were displayed by professional models. But a feeling of euphoria spread in the crowd as John Abraham and Vidya Balan walked the ramp in elegant outfits. John wore a long sherwani-like coat which he kept unbuttoned, while Vidya was dressed in a black ghagra choli with a dupatta.

The next one to walk the ramp was Govinda , dressed in a black kurta pyjama.

The crowd responded with loud cheers as Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra walked the catwalk together. Salman was his usual cool self. His attitude rubbed off on Priyanka too and the couple began striking stylish poses on the ramp.

Anil Kapoor (in black suit) walked in with his co-star Juhi Chawla (in black sari), and at the end of the catwalk, Kapoor bowed on his knee and kissed Juhi’s hand. The two play husband and wife in the film.

Akshaye Khanna flaunted his customary smile and walked in with cute looking Ayesha Takia . Both were dressed in black.

Sohail Khan was sobriety personified as he walked the ramp with Isha Koppikar . He gestured “Salaam” to the audience.

When all the stars of the film stepped together, it was evident that John Abraham and Salman Khan were keeping distance from each other. The two have been sharing cold vibes after a tiff at an overseas concert early this year.

Only Govinda’s co-star Shannon Esrechowitz was missing at the music launch.

All the razzmatazz apart, the noble thing was that the music release was a charity event for Aangan, which is an NGO for underprivileged children in juvenile homes.

‘Salaam-e-Ishq’ is slated to release in January next year.
