Ranbir Kapoor’s goofy antics win you over and charm Ileana in the lilting track “Main Kya Karoon…Iss Dil Ka Kya Karoon” from Anurag Basu’s much-awaited film Barfi!. The song is beautifully composed by Pritam and well sung by Nikhil Paul George.
It has a bicycle riding Ranbir Kapoor trying to woo Ileana. He spots her step out of a train and follows her not without getting noticed by her. She shows him her engagement ring, but all rebuffs are like water off ducks back for a smitten Ranbir. He turns the town’s clock’s hands to set the time for his meeting with her.
The best bit is when we see him painting a portrait of Ileana but as the camera zooms out, the painter with Ranbir standing behind him appears. Equally winsome is Ranbir Kapoor’s leg-twisting jig in a ball room. As for style statement, Ranbir has the aviator shades dangling by his pant’s zip.
Set in the verdant landscape of a hilly town, the song is a perky, soothing number that definitely ought to be watched.
Barfi! stars Ranbir Kapoor as a deaf and mute guy. He has a crush on a beautiful girl played by Ileana. The film has Priyanka Chopra playing an autistic girl.
