Music composer Pritam has added another mellifluous album to his discography with his score for director Anurag Basu’s film Barfi!. Sung by Arijit Singh, the ‘Phir Le Aaya Dil’ song video shows a mute and deaf Barfi (Ranbir Kapoor) surprising the beautiful Shruti (Ileana) by showing up with a pencil thin moustache. It’s clear that the lady is smitten with Barfi, but the bindi on her forehead hints that she’s already married to someone else.
One after another, we have been treated to catchy, lilting, soothing tracks from Barfi!, and the latest one, ‘Phir Le Aaya Dil’, featuring the three leads Ranbir Kapoor, Ileana and Priyanka Chopra just wins you over with its silken melody.
Check out some touching moments of muted romance between Ranbir and Ileana in the song. Barfi escorts her through the bazaars of Kolkata and the duo relishes the local delicacies. And then comes the shocker.
Barfi takes her to his home, where he introduces to Shurti the autistic Jhilmil (Priyanka Chopra). The expression of Ileana upon seeing the other woman is seen to be appreciated.
The film, slated to release on September 14, has already made it to the top of the wishlist of many a movie buff and going by the promos and songs, this one by Anurag Basu is just a class apart.
