Songs for 'Dil' - The Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam Music Review
RATING: 6 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' is yet another movie, which has a long name, a trend that started with 'Hum Aapke Hain Kaun'. It's a musical romantic film, which has some good songs. The film stars Ajay Devgun, Salman Khan and Aishwariya Rai among others.
The music of the film is composed by debutante music director Ismail Durbar. And if promotions of the songs on various TV channels are any thing to go by, he has put a lot of effort to all 11 compositions in the film.
'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' is a love triangle, which has typical Indian family social setting. The music is in sync with the mood of the film.
Since it is his first movie as music director Durbar seems to have got carried away by sound and in the process gave less attention to tunes.
The film has 11 songs. That's a big number and one can say that music seems to be the mainstay of the film. But only four songs are hummable.
Two duets—'Chand Chhupa Badal Mein' and 'Aankhon Ki Gustakhian' - are good melodies and have already become popular. Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Alka Yagnik, Kaya Kay and Dominique have sung the songs for this album.
Also, music lovers will love 'Tadap Tadap' which is a sensitive song.
Overall a good album but doesn't leave a longlasting impression.
