The Hum To Mohabbat Karega Movie Review

A crime thriller-cum-romantic comedy

The film is about Raju, a waiter in a restaurant, who He falls in love with a popular TV reporter Geeta.

Lost in his delightful romantic fantasies, Raju is able to get as far as the TV studio or get an autograph or even a wave of hand by Geeta only.

One day, Raju's world gets the shock of his life as Geeta out of blues visits him. Geeta visits him to investigate a murder case. It was Raju who served the murder victim the last meal. Though Raju is totally ignorant about the murder, he in all his innocence pretends he knows the conspiracy behind the murder in order to get closer to Geeta.

He keeps on lying to Geeta and she coaxes Raju to appear in a T.V. interview. Then the mafia starts keeping a close eye on Raju as they feel he can get them in trouble.

As the police investigation proceeds, things go from bad to worse for Raju. He even gives the description of his best friend as the suspected killer, though unconsciously and unwillingly only to get out of the situation. Every time he tries to escape, Geeta comes in his way.

When Raju comes to know her sad story, he promises her that he would do anything to find her brother's killer. Geeta sees Raju's love for her and she gives in too. However, Geeta gets to know about Raju's invented stories and lies, and this creates a rift between the two. Finally, Raju compensates for his mistakes and wins Geeta's heart. Together they unravel the mystery behind the murder.

Bobby Deol and Karisma play the lead roles. Both have done good job. Johny Lever is in his real element. The music of the film is just chalta hai type.
