What happens when a hardened tapori with a crude tongue, crass humour and endearing persona meets a mod, educated girl in Mumbai? An unusual luv story unravels.
The movie has Vivek playing the titular protagonist Jayantabhai, who’s a tapori and gangster in Mumbai. But the film’s not about Bhaigiri. Rather, it’s about lovegiri that starts when Jayanta meets Bhadotri (Neha Sharma), who is his diametric opposite in every sense.
Jayanta is uneducated, but she is literate; Jayanta is crude, she is polished. Slowly a love story takes root between these two contrasting personalities.
"Jayanta is a very different character. The film is about two people from different world. There is chemistry, there is attraction but they are as though from two different planets," Vivek Oberoi said.
"The girl is educated and polished, while Jayanta is someone who is streetwise. He does not even know how to talk to a girl and that is the fun of it," he added.
Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story is produced by Kumar S. Taurani under Tips Music Films. The film is set to release this Valentine on 15th February 2013. It’s lead actress Neha Sharma was previously seen in films such as Crook and Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum.
