Don't miss the first trailer of Kai Po Che, the big screen adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's book The 3 Mistakes of My Life. The film is directed by Abhishek Kapoor of Rock On fame and stars TV actors Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh and Rajkumar Yadav as three friends.
The trailer opens with the three actors chatting inside a car on a highway. Turns out they aren’t driving but are perched on a trailer. The clip is replete with moments of bonding between the three friends.
Sushant Singh Rajput does impress in the trailer with his rugged look and intensity. There’s also a political twist to the tale of the three friends.
There are also moments of subdued intimacy between Rajkumar Yadav, who plays a simple, docile teacher, and the actress Amrita Puri.
Director Abhishek Kapoor says Kai Po Che was a difficult film for him to make. “It is a difficult film to make and it took me more than two-and-a-half, three years to put this story together,” he said at the wrap-up party after the film's shooting concluded.
In case you are wondering what the title means, ‘Kai Po Che’ is a triumphant yell in Gujarati. The film is slated to release on February 22, 2013.
