“Jumping Jack” Jeetendra's son Tusshar makes his tinsel town debut opposite the willowy Kareena Kapoor in the Satish Kaushik directed “Mujhe Kuchh Kehna Hai”.
The film, made under the banner of Pooja Entertainment, is produced by Vashu Bhagnani and co-stars Rinke Khanna, Dilip Tahil and Amrish Puri.
Karan (Tusshar) is a happy-go-lucky lad with an 'easy come easy go' attitude. He is the only son in the flourishing family constituting a loving mother, a stern, fuddy-duddy father (Dilip Tahil) and a friendly uncle (Amrish Puri). While Karan's father strictly wants him to focus on his future and doesn't approve of any kind of romanticism, Karan's uncle has a mellower heart and always forgives his nephew's juvenile pranks.
Karan's life goes topsy-turvy after he falls head over heels in love with the foreign returned Pooja who has come to India to trace her roots and learn about the traditions and rituals. Now Pooja is a fast girl who keeps Karan on his toes. The shy and meek Karan plays the puerile games (which Pooja dismisses as anything but love) and just keeps saying “Mujhe Kuchh Kehna hai” without actually saying what's in his heart.
Enter Karan's sister-cum-friend the bubbly lass Rinki ( Rinke Khanna) who matches Pooja's vivacity. While Karan hopes that Rinki will convey to Pooja all that he couldn't, things go awry when Rinki, instead of bringing them close, drives them apart. Misunderstandings arise and create a rift between Karan and Pooja. How will the twosome get over this misunderstanding and find each other's love forms the crux of the film.
“MKKH” is Kareena's second film after her much-talked about debut in “Refugee” (in which she was seen in the non-glamorous role). Well, she has shown her histrionics in her first film and in this one she aptly displays her aptitude for bump grind too. Tusshar however doesn't seem to have her sleekness.
Satish Kaushik's deft direction and Anu Malik's music promises to be the highlight of the movie.
