Full of pep - The Pyaar Impossible Music Review |
|---|
By Usha Lakra
Rating: 3/5
Alisha…Tu Kahan Main Kahan - that’s the first song to come from Pyaar Impossible soundtrack and youngsters are going ga-ga over it. When the first song is so good to ears, oozing freshness and sensuality with its terrific music, expectation from the whole package surely goes up.
Once again Yashraj Films meet Salim-Sulaiman for ‘Pyaar Impossible’; the duo has composed five original tracks with lyricist Anvita Dutt Guptan for the movie which is about a geek guy (Uday Chopra) falling in love with a glam doll (Priyanka Chopra.)
Domnique Cerejo lifts the mike to croon Pyaar Impossible, and giving her support is the versatile Vishal Dadlani. The song is a lilting ditty which you can just play on, no matter what’s your mood. Its remixed version is average and thankfully doesn’t spoil the charm of the song. It is remixed with music that sounds very similar to Nelly Furtado’s popular track, ‘Say It Right’.
You and Me is a zappy track, but what makes it different is the way it’s delivered by Neha Bhasin and Benny Dayal. Not a love song but it expresses the dilemma of a dumb guy who wants the hottest girl as his ladylove. Kabhi hoga nahi, that’s ‘Pyaar Impossible’, isn’t it?
It’s really long since we heard India’s first girl band Viva. Talented Mahua Kamat strikes back with Ten On Ten with another ex group member Anushka Manchanda. A peppy pop song with slight rock touch, Ten On Ten makes it to the hit list.
Newcomer Rishika Sawant’s Ek Thi Ladki is not only simple but also makes for a good hummable track with its child-like glee and a story to tell. And then there is the chorus of children cheerfully singing para para…boom…. Undoubtedly one of the best in the collection.
Already said a lot about the track Alisha. The song is beautifully picturised on the gorgeous Priyanka Chopra. Alisha remix, a fast-paced song, albeit a true remix, brings the house down. Jab se tujhko hai jana, dil ne kaha na mana - a song I can play in repeat mode.
The album ends but I am still tuned to ‘Alisha’ mode. Like the look and feel of the film, the songs of ‘Pyaar Impossible’ have that upbeat feel to them. The album entirely belongs to Salim-Sulaiman; they have gone back to the time when they had actually started and created some hearty tunes. Juiced up!
Not a single dull moment.

Movie Review : Three On Ten (1.5/5) Three words. Just three words. Sometimes it takes years to say those three words to someone special you love. And if you happen to be a bashful bespectacled geek that the protagonist of Pyaar Impossible is, and that someone special is a stunner on whom every next guy swoons, those three...
