Sung by Benny Dayal and Shalmali Kholgade, ‘Lat Lag Gayee’ is a club number with a lot of grooves, synths, and deft mixing and music arrangement to give it the feel of a party track. The melody by Pritam does take some repeat hearings to latch on to you, and the lyrics by Mayuri Puri are anything but imaginative.
The song begins with Jacqueline Fernandez hitting on Saif Ali Khan in a club and then walking away to the middle of a group of dancers while Saif takes the initiative and croons, “Baimaan, dil bada baimaan, hota nahin aasaan, isse samzhana.” Thereafter Jacqueline, dressed in a red top and a mini, steps on the dance floor and shimmies away.
Race 2 is the sequel of the 2008 flick Race. The sequel stars Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez, John Abraham, Anil Kapoor and Ameesha Patel in principal roles. Directed by Abbas Mustan and produced by Ramesh S. Taurani, the film is slated to release on January 25, 2013.
