Rowdy Rathore Synopsis Rowdy Rathore is the remake of the superhit Telugu film Vikramarkudu, which was also remade in Tamil as Siruthai. The film will see Akshay Kumar back in his original action avatar, this time under the direction of the maestro of the masala action genre, Prabhudeva. Uska ek phatka (blow), 440 ka jhatka. His enemies feel tremors in their pichwada (backsides) upon just hearing his name: Rowdy Rathore. Akshay Kumar returns to action in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming production Rowdy Rathore, starring Sonakshi Sinha as his ladylove. So far, we have seen the actor doing sleek kind of action, but in Rowdy Rathore Akshay flexes his muscles and shows his brute force. The film has Akshay playing a ruffian who falls for a pretty damsel, played by Sonakshi Sinha. The rowdy conman gets embroiled in a ruckus with deadly criminals after a six-year-old girl comes under his protection. Thereafter, the ruffian takes on the might of a powerful MLA in Bihar. Rowdy Rathore is directed by Prabhu Deva who previously directed Wanted with Salman Khan in lead role. There is also some suspense regarding Akshay Kumar’s role in the film. Since Rowdy Rathore is a remake of the Telugu film Vikramarkudu, it is believed that Akshay Kumar plays a double role: that of a local lout Shiva and the IPS officer Vikram Singh Rathore. SYNOPSIS Shiva (Akshay Kumar) is a small time conman in love with Priya (Sonakshi Sinha), a pretty girl whom he met at a wedding he wasn't invited to. Into this picture perfect world enters six year old Neha who inexplicably believes Shiva to be her dad! And if this wasn't bad enough, Shiva also becomes the object of a series of life threatening attacks by a gang of deadly criminals who seem to know something he doesn't. While trying desperately to save his life and love, Shiva stumbles upon a deadly secret. A secret that will take him to a small town in Bihar. Shiva goes to this Bihar town terrorized by its ruthless MLA and the mafia he controls; a town whose inhabitants' only hope for redemption is... Shiva! Supporting roles The film has a slew of actors making special appearances. Kareena Kapoor makes a cameo while Karisma Kapoor does an item number. There’s another item featuring the likes of Mumaith Khan, Shakti Mohan and Maryam Zakaria.
