2. Tanhaji : An Unsung Warrior

2020 marks the on-screen union of real-life couple Ajay Devgn and Kajol after a decade in this Om Raut directional. Based on Subedar Tanhaji Malusare, Chhatrapati Shivaji’s military leader’s life, Tanhaji is a historical drama expected to give you chills while you grab a popcorn bucket in cinemas. The film takes us back to the surgical strike of 17th century that shook the nation, the deciding battle of Singhabad and the way Tanhaji fought with the Mughal Commander Uday Bhan being portrayed by Saif Ali Khan. 8. Bhoot: Part One – The Haunted Ship

Produced by Dharma, the horror-thriller casts Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar as the lead characters. 17. Sadak 2

And the season of sequels isn’t over yet! Here comes yet another! The sequel of 1991 release Sadak. The story moves around fake and corrupt godmen and features Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Pooja Bhatt in the lead cast. The movie is close to Bhatt’s heart as it marks the comeback of Mahesh Bhatt as a director after a span of 20 years. It has been shot at various locations in Uttarakhand, Mumbai, Mysore and Ooty. The film was initially decided to be released on 25th March 2020 but now the date has been postponed.

18. Shamshera

The action-adventure movie is set in the 1800s and is about a decoit tribe who fights for their independence and rights against the British. 21. Toofan

Seems like 2020 is going to be a year of movies dedicated to sports. Coming from the director of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the movie tells a story of a boxer being played by Farhan Akhtar. It will also feature Mrunal Thakur, Isha Talwar and Paresh Rawal in lead roles.
