Bollywood’s most celebrated family, The Bachchans, are known to offer prayers regularly at Mumbai’s Siddhivinayak Temple.
Every Tuesday, the temple in Prabhadevi sees hordes of devotees who come on foot to offer prayers. Some people coming from afar start their journey on foot at night only to be able to reach the temple for the early morning aarti.
Amitabh Bachchan , Jaya Bachchan and their son Abhishek Bachchan undertook this local pilgrimage early morning today.
They were accompanied by Abhishek’s close friends Goldie Behl and Apoorva Lakhia.
Known for their strong devotion, the Bachchans have much to pray and thank the Lord for. Amitabh’s mother Teji Bachchan, as we know, has been in Lilavati hospital for months now. Abhishek’s first big release of the year, Guru , is just round the corner. And Mr. Bachchan will most likely be seen in three different films in February.
Just a few weeks back, the Bachchans were spotted together offering prayers at the holy Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi. They also visited Delhi’s Akshardham Temple early in 2006.
