Tighter security for Mammootty following threats

The Kerala Government has tightened the security for Malayalam mega star Mammootty following threats to attack him.

The actor is scheduled to participate in shooting of his latest film, ‘Pazhassi Raja’, in Kannur.

The buzz is that some rightwing parties have threatened to disrupt the shooting. In fact, a van belonging to the film’s crew was attacked the other day causing concern in the mega star’s camp.

The Government, reports say, has ordered two police vehicles to escort Mammootty at the shooting sites.

Besides, a police team led by a circle inspector will camp at the shooting sites.

The threat perception has increased in the wake of Mammootty’s inaugural address at the Democratic Youth Federation of India’s conference (DYFI), owing allegiance to the CPI (M), in Chennai.
