Pa Amitabh Bachchan was apparently the first one to wish the couple. He wrote on his Twitter page: “Just past midnight and .... " Happy Wedding Anniversary " to Abhishek and Aishwarya .. spent time with them and brought in the day.”
The first half of the day kept Abhishek away from Mumbai due to work commitments, he was busy promoting his upcoming film Dum Maaro Dum in Hyderabad. The movie releases on this Friday.
Stating that each day with Ash was special, Abhishek says, "Both Aishwarya and I understand the nature of our work. For both of us family does come first, but work commitments cannot be compromised either. Besides, every day with Aishwarya is special anyway." [via DNA]
However, Abhishek will keep himself free in the evening and fly back to Mumbai for a cosy get-together with Ash and close family members. A small bash is being planned at Prateeksha and Sikander Kher, Goldie Behl, Sonali Bendre, Srishti Arya, Preity Zinta are all expected to be there.
What’s coming next for the two of them, Abhishek will be heading to Russia to film Players and Aishwarya will be off to the French Riviera to attend the Cannes film festival for the 10th straight year. Though there are whispers they will head off to a romantic holiday after.
