Though her mother-in-law Sharmila Tagore gave her the ancestral royal attire for the wedding, it’s learnt that there is a dress that remains elusive to Kareena Kapoor.
Among her array of wedding attires designed by Manish Malhotra and Ritu Kumar, there is this royal dress that Kareena would have loved to wear. The splendid ensemble is said to be made of real gold thread and belongs to Saif Ali Khan’s family legacy.
According to a tabloid, Kareena’s wedding trousseau is missing one special wedding attire, a Pishwas outfit, which has a royal connection. A Pishwas dress is a long, aligned, flowy ensemble (like a kalidaar) accompanied by a churidaar, or a divided bottom, or a skirt.
The royal Pishwas belonging to the Pataudis was once a part of the disputed family heirlooms and currently is in the house of Saif’s aunt Nilofer. Due to the feud over the property and assets, this traditional wedding ensemble will not be seen on Kareena, reports a tabloid.
Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor is mostly wearing her friend Manish Malhotra’s creations for various events, and will get decked up as a bride clad in mom-in-law Sharmila Tagore’s wedding attire -- a golden gharara restored to suit her.
