Film star Fardeen Khan was detained by the Central Narcotics Control Bureau in the wee hours Saturday in Mumbai for allegedly possessing ten grams of cocaine.
Fardeen has reportedly been taken to the JJ Hospital in Mumbai for tests.
Fardeen is the son of veteran film star and producer Feroze Khan and Hrithik Roshan's brother-in-law.
Cocaine was seized from Fardeen’s car and the Mumbai police is reportedly being pressured into dismissing the case as one of drunken driving.
Fardeen Khan was arrested outside the popular Mumbai restaurant ‘Olives’. He had earlier in the evening attended a wedding reception for the daughter of Ratan Jain from Venus Music.
Official sources told UNI that the actor had been detained for questioning. Feroze Khan has been permitted to remain present during the questioning, the sources said.
Fardeen Khan had made his debut in the film ''Prem Agan'', directed by his father. His other films are “Jungle” and the last-week release “Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya”.
