Plummeting TRPs and astronomical expenses had made Zee withdraw its Sawal Dus Crore Ka in the face of Star’s successful KBC. But the folks at Zee are now coming with a game show that they think will be their answer to KBC.
The hour long show will be called “Baazi Kiski” and hosted by the eloquent actor Ashutosh Rana, who recently gave an emphatic performance as a police inspector in Vikram Bhatt’s “Kasoor”.
Sources at the Zee affirm that the show has a different format in which genders are positioned opposite each other. The show will have five rounds beginning with the elimination round that will shortlist the candidates. There will but naturally be a buzzer round followed by the prizes that will be given either in cash or in kind like refrigerator, cars, Air conditioners and Television sets.
Ashutosh, in fact, was meant to replace Anupam Kher on Zee’s SDCK but the show was ultimately shelved owing to the huge financial losses. Folk’s at ZEE are said to be optimistic about “Baazi Kiski”, however. They are believed to be confident that Ashutosh Rana’s gift of the gab, if not his emphatic presence, will make the show a success and “an apposite answer to KBC”.
