Reports have it that this Friday’s release Phir Hera Pheri has been invited to be a part of the Oscar library.
Even as the comedy film, starring Akshay Kumar , Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal , hits the theatres today, its producer Firoz Nadiadwala has a reason to feel proud.
It is learnt that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences have sought the inclusion of the film’s screenplay in its Margaret Herrick Library.
The library’s vast collection is used for study and research by film students and directors.
Nadiadwala, the producer of ‘Phir Hera Pheri’, feels honored at the prospect of the inclusion of the film’s screenplay in the library.
“This is a great honour for our actors and my company. The Academy library wants to house our film in the permanent scripts collection. It will be accessible to actors, filmmakers and research scholars,” Nadiadwala is quoted as saying.
‘Phir Hera Pheri’ is a sequel to Priyadarshan’s superhit comedy Hera-Pheri . The film is directed by Neeraj Vora, who wrote dialogues and screenplay for the original.
