Priyanka Chopra to perform with Nelly Furtado on New Year’s Eve

While most of the actresses of Bollywood choose to be with their family and friends on the New Year’s eve, Priyanka Chopra and Koena Mitra will celebrate the evening with thousands of fans.

Yes, the two Bollywood belles will perform to a number of songs on stage as the opening act for Nelly Furtado’s musical concert on December 31, at the Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai.

Nelly Furtado, as many would know, is a Grammy-winning pop sensation who shot to fame with the release of her debut album ‘Whoa Nelly’ in 2000. She won Grammy for her song “I’m Like A Bird” from the album.

The song also happens to be the favourite of actress Priyanka Chopra who is pretty excited about stepping on the same stage with Nelly in a few days from now.

The evening will see Koena Mitra dancing to five of her favourite songs, including the latest tracks from film Apna Sapna Money Money . Priyanka will perform to an equal number of songs, but she rues the fact that she won’t be able to rehearse much for the show because of her present Bollywood commitments.

Nelly Furtado is expected to belt out some of her old hits and also the recent ones like ‘Promiscuous’ and ‘Maneater’ from her latest album ‘Loose’.

The evening will also feature performances by Canada based Punjabi band Josh. A concert by A R Rahman will close the night with the coming of 2007.
