Bollywood newbie Ferena Wazier is an angelic beauty!

She’s got pristine beauty, a cute, angelic face with expressive eyes. Bollywood newcomer Ferena Wazier was born to be in front of the camera.

Born to Kashmiri parents in Britain, Ferena was exposed to two very different worlds in her childhood. She often used to take breaks from the modern life of Scotland and visit her native village in Kashmir. After finishing her schooling in Scotland she studied acting for six months at Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) in London.

Initially, her parents weren’t very supportive of her passion for acting, but gradually they accepted Ferena’s choice.

It was about three years ago, when Ferena visited India for the camel fair in Pushkar, that she caught the eye of a professional photographer and began her modeling career thereafter.

She also did a workshop with Satyadev Dubey and theatre with Alyque Padamsee. Given her angelic beauty, Ferena did not take long to come to the notice of filmmakers in Bollywood.

Ferena is presently acting in Ketan Mehta’s movie Rang Rasiya in which she plays a Parsi girl. Set in the late nineteenth century, the film is based on the real story of painter Raja Ravi Verma, played by actor Randeep Hooda .

Ferena has also been signed for Soni Razdan’s (who made Nazar ) next film which is tentatively titled ‘Amritsar – A Love Story’. The movie is based on Manju Kapur’s novel ‘Difficult Daughters’ and has Ferena playing a young girl who falls in love with her teacher.

Apart from this, Ferena is also in talks with a big corporate house for a three-film deal about which she is not eager to reveal many details. She has also shot a music video each with A R Rahman and Hariharan.

Ferena has not just set her eyes on Bollywood. She will also act in two international projects.

The first one is a film by Bosnian director Danis Tanovic. It may be recalled that Tanovic’s movie ‘No Man’s Land’ defeated Aamir Khan’s Lagaan in the Oscar race a few years back. Tanovic’s next movie will have Ferena playing a Pakistani girl. The film will be shot in Patiala, Punjab.

Ferena has also been roped for a film by a German director. In the movie she plays a Bollywood actress.

To increase her repertoire, Ferena is learning classical singing and Kathak dance. Her Bollywood dream is to work with topnotch directors.

We hope her dream comes true.
