Irrfan Khan will be the leading man of a comedy film to be produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.
It is no secret that Shah Rukh Khan is teaming up with director Priyadarshan for a comedy film titled ‘Billoo Barber’. The film will have Irrfan playing the titular protagonist while Shah Rukh will take the back seat and play the second fiddle.
Reports have it that the film tells the story for friendship between a rich actor (SRK) and a poor barber (Irrfan). The two used to be thick friends in their childhood. Years later, when they meet again, they are at different places in life. While one is rich and famous, the other is poor.
The story is apparently derived from the legend of Krishna and Sudama from Hindu mythology. Mushtaq Sheikh, who has written books on SRK, has reportedly written the film’s screenplay with Manisha Korde.
The film’s leading ladies are yet to be finalized but latest buzz from tinsel town suggests that Kareena Kapoor might clinch a role opposite SRK.
