Gibson, whose movie ‘The Passion Of The Christ’ was a worldwide hit, said ‘The Da Vinci Code’ weaves facts with maverick theories. 
Dan Brown’s book alleges that Jesus Christ was a family man, and had a child from Mary Magdalene. Hollywood.com quotes Gibson as saying: “What worries me is that people will take this as fact. I am not angry per se that it refutes everything I hold sacred, the foundations of my beliefs. 'The Da Vinci Code' is an admitted work of fiction but it cleverly weaves fact into maverick theories in a way that will appear plausible to some.” Quite ironically, Gibson was the first choice to essay the role of the Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon in the movie. Robert Lomas, an intellectual who inspired the character of Robert Langdon, has said he would have liked to see Gibson playing Langdon in the film. Meanwhile, ‘Da Vinci Code’ is turning out to be a hit worldwide. Now, the movie’s studio executives are said to be so happy with the film’s performance that plans are already afoot to make Dan Brown’s book ‘Angels and Demons’, too, into a movie.
