Bollywood music director Himesh Reshammiya will now be seen without his trademark "lucky" cap - albeit for a 10-minute film scene.
"I will not wear the cap for a particular shot for just 10 minutes in the film 'Aap Ka Suroor'. The cap has always been lucky for me," he said.
Reshammiya, who was in Ludhiana for a performance, told reporters he would be playing the lead in the Vijay Taneja-directed film, the shooting for which is due to start in January.
He said a new actress was being introduced in the film and he would be singing nine numbers in it.
He also apologized to playback singer Asha Bhosle for his reported remark that music legend R D Burman had a nasal twang. "I have made a big mistake by saying R D Burman also sings through his nose. I apologize to Ashaji," he said.
Reshammiya, who has admitted to singing through his nose, is also giving the music score for two upcoming movies - Namaste London and Red .
