‘Armaan’

Directorial debut of talented writer Honey Irani, Armaan is a story of human relations, dreams, desires, love and how the son goes to fulfill his father’s dream.

The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Preity Zinta, Gracy Singh, Anupam Kher and Randhir Kapoor.

The movie tells the tale of Dr.Sidharth Sinha (Amitabh Bachchan), a philanthropist and a dedicated surgeon who has devoted his life to build a state-of-the-art hospital to treat the underprivileged patients. And to turn this dream into a reality he looks forward to his son, Akash (Anil Kapoor).

Dr.Akash Sinha is a respected neuro surgeon, who too is no less devoted to his professional than his father. He wants to realize the dream nurtured for year by his father.
But fate has something else planned for him.

Akash has a soft corner for his fellow doctor Neha Mathur (Gracy Singh), a suave and self-assured woman who will never let her personal life get in the way of her profession.

Enter Soniya Kapoor, the daughter of the 10th richest man in the world. She is a wealthy and arrogant girl who is used to getting things done her way.

Sonia has a crush on Akash and she decides to ‘buy’ his love via a financial agreement that states that on marrying Soniya, her father Gulshan will help finance the hospital project.

Torn between his father’s dream of making a hospital (which he can realize by marrying Sonia) and his own personal emotions for Dr. Neha, Akash has to choose either. Which way will he go?
