Hrishitaa Bhatt

Taurean Hrishita was born in a Bengali-speaking family on May 10, 1981 in Bombay, India. She used to take dance lessons as a child, was athletic and believes in keeping fit from her school days.She wanted to be a pilot, but after completing her education in Trinity College, London, took Kathak lessons from Choreographer, Shiamak Davar, and some modeling assignments. She successfully auditioned for the 'Liril' ad. was selected, and became the Liril girl with the cute smile.Her charming persona and screen presence in the Aryans' video added to her popularity, so much so that she was recommended by a close media friend of the Bachchan family for a lead role in 'Shararaat' opposite Abhishek Bachchan. Her beautiful face and figure were noticed and she soon got an offer in 'Asoka' from Shahrukh Khan himself.Thereafter she has appeared in 'Dil Vil Pyar Vyar', 'Out of Control', 'Haasil', 'Charas: A Joint Operation', 'Ab Tak Chhappan', 'Kisna', 'Jawani Diwani (2006)', 'Jigyasaa', and 'Ankahee'. She has also starred in a Kannad language movie, as well a Bengali movie with Raju Mukherjee, actress Rani Mukherjee's dad. She changed her name to Hrishitaa.She has co-starred with Abhishek Bachchan, Ritesh Deshmukh, Emraan Hashmi, Vivek Oberoi, Jimmy Shergill, Shahrukh Khan, Madhavan amongst others. She is currently filming 'Friends Forever' opposite Ashmit Patel, the brother of actress Amisha Patel.She is fluent in Hindi, English, and Bengali.
