Prakash Jha’s next to be based on Anna Hazare’s campaign

If you thought Prakash Jha will be cautious in tackling topical issues after the whole Aarakshan controversy and will perhaps choose a lighter plot for his future movies, think again! Prakash is back with another hard hitting concept in his next movie titled Satyagraha.

Satyagraha will deal with the issue raised by Anna Hazare and his non-violent protest against corruption. Prakash Jha said that though the film will be based on peaceful protest, it will not cover a national movement like the Anna one, but rather the protagonist will take on corruption at the state level! He said that it’s important for any movement to be rooted to a specific population, and according to him it’s the only way the movement can be effective!

Though the cast of the film has not been finalised yet, Prakash Jha revealed that Amitabh Bachchan will surely be starring in this movie. Apparently, Amitabh Bachchan will pay an Anna-like campaigner in Satyagraha!

Well, the shooting of the movie will start in January and it will be interesting to see if the Amitabh Bachchan and Prakash Jha jodi will be able to release Satyagraha throughout India without any bans!
