Bollywood superstar Salman Khan who is suffering from one of the most painful disorders known to medical science has flown off to USA for medical treatment.

Salman left for the US on Monday night. Before leaving, he tweeted: “Challo c u guys . On my way to fix the short circuit in my nerve, take care n hope u like Body guard.”

Salman Khan is suffering from a nerve disorder called Trigeminal Neuralgia, in which a person experiences unbearable pain in the face, making it difficult to even speak or eat anything. Salman earlier revealed that he has had this disorder since the last seven years, but now “the pain has become unbearable”.

The superstar was earlier scheduled to fly during the weekend but had to postpone his departure due to Hurricane Irene. Now, he’s left just two days ahead of the release of his film Bodyguard, which comes out on Wednesday.

In the US, Salman will undergo two surgeries. After that he is likely to rest for about a month for complete recovery. Salman’s brother Sohail Khan, Arbaaz Khan and his sister Alvira are accompanying him to the US.
