Even as Salman Khan is being described as the Rajinikanth of Bollywood because of the box office phenomenon that he has become, there’s news that Salman might actually play Rajinikanth in a film.
The movie, a biopic on Rajinikanth, is being planned by none other than Atul Agnihotri, the co-producer of Bodyguard and Salman Khan’s brother-in-law.
“There is a huge responsibility involved in making a film on Rajinikanth. We need his approval and contribution. Making a film on him will be an enriching experience for us. Certain commerce is involved in film making; so we are working out the logistics,” Atul Agnihotri is quoted as saying by a news agency.
The film’s script is being written by Atul’s friend and ad filmmaker Lloyd Ba Pista who will also be the director.
When asked if Salman Khan will indeed play Rajinikanth in the film, Atul said: “We don't know. We are working out and it would be great if he (Salman) becomes part of it in any which way. Let's see, Lloyd is still working on the script and going back and forth. He is consulting people. Let him revert back to me; then we will take it forward.”
Salman Khan is presently in the US, recuperating after a surgery for Trigeminal Neuralgia. He is soon expected to begin shooting for Ek Tha Tiger in Dublin.
