'Agneepath' to release on 26th January
The release date of the much awaited film Agneepath has been delayed by a week. The movie will now release on Republic Day, i.e. 26th January 2012!

The official page of Agneepath on a social networking website posted: “Agneepath release date is now 26th January, 2012.... another reason to call it a special day for all of us. :)”

Well, the postponement does not come as a surprise since Karan Johar, the producer of Agneepath, was keen on a Republic Day release earlier as well, owing to the extended weekend! But, since the release date of Reema Kagti’s next starring Aamir Khan was also falling on the same date, Karan thought it would be wiser to release it in advance!

However, after it was learned that Aamir Khan feels the post production of his film might need some more time, he decided to release his film later! Karan swiftly decided to fill in the empty slot and pushed back the release date of Agneepath to Jan 26. The movie is a remake of the cult classic movie of the same title starring Amitabh Bachchan.

Now, let us provide you with some interesting tidbit! Agneepath will not be the sole film to be released on 26th January! The film will clash with the Ajay Devgan starrer Tezz and Abhay Deol starrer Shanghai!

Looks like we should start planning our Republic Day weekend from now itself!
