The makers of Ra.One have no idea as to where these things are cropping up from. After rounds of positive publicity by the actor-producer Shahrukh Khan, a section of audience is busy publicizing the film, alas, in a negative way.
There have been reports of a series of emails, photo-shopped images and even jokes being in circulation to mock and ridicule Shahrukh Khan’s film. However, the regular users of social networking sites have been seeing this for quite some time. Sources claim that it’s a planned strategy to bring down not just the movie, which is still going strong at the BO, but also the star.
A new incident that has come to notice can be called weirder. There is reportedly a new kind of word-of-mouth negative publicity of the film happening in the city’s multiplexes. One can find random people coming up to the audience and asking them to go back rather than watch the film.
Filmmaker Pritish Nandy also witnessed a similar kind of episode and tweeted, “Went to see Ra.One with no expectations. Was stopped by random people at Inox, discouraging us. Including a charming old lady.” This phenomenon has also been reported by the other people who went to see the movie in the known multiplexes.
So the question that now looms large is: Is someone deliberately trying to sabotage Ra.One? |
