|What is the first thing that comes to your mind when we say ‘Kate Winslet’? Yes, we knew it; Titanic it is! If all goes as planned, the actress who shot to international fame after playing Rose DeWitt Bukater in Titanic, might actually visit the wreck of the ship in 2012.
Renowned businessman Richard Branson has reportedly requested Kate Winslet to join him for the extravaganza! Richard is quoted as saying by thecelebritycafe: “It is something I am very keen to do. I’m deadly serious about this and I would love to invite Kate to come with me.”
Branson further added: “Wouldn’t it be something if the star of Titanic really got to go down to the real ship? I'm going to talk to her but I'm sure it's an opportunity she will jump at.”
Well, April 2012 will see the 100th anniversary of the sinking of Titanic and five trips have been scheduled for the occasion. The tickets have been priced at a whopping $60,000 per person!
James Cameron will reportedly visit the site again (the first time he visited while shooting the film) on the first of the five tours organized.
Anyhow, with the price of the tickets placed at $60,000 per person, expect only businessmen and celebrities to witness the sunken history!
