Ritesh Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza have already started shopping for their lavish wedding in February, thus the curiosity surrounds as to how they are going to wed? The couple has decided to tie the knot in a traditional Maharashtrian way.
As per reports, the bride-to-be Genelia D’Souza hasn’t finalized her dress but is excited to dress up like a traditional Maharashtrian bride with Navvari (traditional Maharashtrian sari), sporting the traditional nath (nose ring) and the mundavlya (decorative strings of pearls, beads or flowers) tied on the forehead. Though Genelia always wished for a fairy tale kind of wedding in a church where she will be dressed in a white gown, she is happy to marry in a Maharashtrian way as Ritesh belongs to a Marathi family.
“I think every girl dreams of having that white gown fairy tale kind of wedding,” Genelia is quoted as saying earlier, and then added, “At the end of the day however, what matters is who you marry and not how.”
Currently both the stars are busy finishing their film Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, while Ritesh has even started working on his next. But they need not worry as the families of the two actors are preparing for the wedding and ensuring that nothing is left for the last minute.
Coincidentally, Genelia was seen dressed as a Maharashtrian bride in her last release, Force, with actor John Abraham.
Friends of the couple are also happy. Ritesh’s good friend Lara Dutta can’t wait to see him marry. She tweets,“@Riteishd RD, c’mon hurry up now your turn!!!! Bomsi (Boman Irani) and I have our outfits ready and pressed.”
