John Abraham’s comedy has improved like his muscles: Akshay Kumar

When they first teamed up six years ago in Garam Masala, it was Akshay Kumar who had a clear upper hand in comedy over John Abraham. But things have changed now that the two actors are teaming up again in this Friday’s release Desi Boyz.

This time around, Akshay says John has emerged a lot better in his comic timing, so much so that even he (Akshay), known as one of the best stars to tickle the funny bone, has things to learn from John.

“I think John has changed a lot since the time we worked earlier. He has a fantastic comic timing. I feel the way his muscles have flexed up, his comic timing has also improved a lot. In fact, I am learning comedy from John,” Akshay Kumar is quoted as saying by a news agency.

Akshay also likened John Abraham’s style of comedy to that of Mr. Bean, played by actor Rowan Atkinson.

“I think his comedy is somewhat similar to Mr Bean. He does laid-back comedy, his way of delivering dialogues is very slow...that is another way of comedy. Like Mr Bean has a very laidback style of talking and audience will catch it up,” Akshay said.

Directed by Rohit Dhawan, Desi Boyz has Akshay Kumar and John Abraham playing two friends who are hit hard by recession and take up jobs as strippers and escort boys in a club.
