'The Dirty Picture' too hot for Pakistan!
The Dirty Picture, the much-anticipated release of this Friday starring Vidya Balan as a bold siren from the south, won’t be released in Pakistan.

The Pakistan censor board has refused to clear the film for public viewing because it reportedly deems the film’s content as too provocative.

The movie has Vidya Balan playing an extra who goes on to become a big star in the south film industry by dint of her sexuality. There is indeed some skin-show in the film, but its makers have been claiming that the content is not vulgar.

So even as The Dirty Picture won’t be released in Pakistan on Friday, nothing could stop Pakistan’s thriving piracy industry to make a killing when the film is banned at theatres.

Earlier this year, the Pakistani censor board had banned the Aamir Khan Productions’ Delhi Belly as well because of its “lewd” content.

Bollywood has a great fan following in Pakistan and the films produced by the country’s domestic film industry find it hard to compete with Indian films.
