Actor Aamir Khan, who recently became father of a baby boy, says he and wife Kiran Rao are overjoyed.
“It is a great joy to be a father. Both Kiran and I are really overjoyed about the baby being born. It's a real joy...it's a miracle. A baby being born is like a miracle and nothing comes close to it,” Aamir Khan said at an event in Mumbai to launch the DVDs of Dhobi Ghat.
Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao's baby boy was born through IVF to a surrogate mother on December 1. They named him Azad Rao Khan after the actor's great grand uncle and freedom fighter Maulana Azad.
Aamir revealed that he plays with his newborn son for 2-3 hours every day.
“I tickle up his little toes and then snuggle him...since he is very small so he does not know who I am. But he knows that somebody comes and troubles him every day for two-three hours,” Aamir said smilingly.
In fact, Aamir told reporters that he is keen to get back home soon.
“We can't get enough of Azad. For the first time Kiran has stepped out of the house since the baby was born and we are keen on getting back home soon,” he said.
Aamir Khan’s next release will be Talaash directed by Reema Kagti. He will soon begin shooting for Dhoom 3 with Katrina Kaif.
