Amitabh Bachchan, who joined Twitter in 2010, is an avid user of the site and has tweeted 11,128 times till date in 612 days. At the time of publishing this story, he had 1,863,616 followers.
The 69-year-old took the number one spot after beating last time winner Priyanka Chopra, who now stands second on the list with 1,851,304 followers and 5,693 tweets.
Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar came third on the list with 1,795,053 followers and Shahrukh Khan landed on the fourth position with 1,622,670 followers.
Interestingly, actor Aamir Khan, came fifth with 1,515,074 followers despite the fact that he hasn’t tweeted for more than a year now. Imagine what would have happened if Aamir was regular on Twitter!
Aamir’s good friend Salman Khan ranked sixth with 1,495,203 followers. Salman Khan is not an avid user of the micro-blogging site and sometimes doesn’t post a new entry for months.
