Popular actresses have been game for doing the raunchy jigs on the side and the likes of Katrina Kaif, Mallika Sherawat and Lara Dutta have wowed us with item songs lately, ‘Chikni Chameli’ already being the flavour of the season.
But now, the Chamelis and Jalebi Bais are set for competition as Vidya Balan, known to do everything with passion and dedication, lets her hair down for an item number in producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s production Ferrari Ki Sawaari.
Since Vidya Balan is closely attached to the production house -- having made her Bollywood debut in the banner’s film Parineeta and then acted in Lagey Raho Munnabhai -- she agreed to the item song when approached by Chopra and the film’s director Rajesh Mapuskar.
So the item girl brigade has a new addition to it: Vidya Balan. And we won’t be surprised if the boombat Balan shakes her way to the top here as well.
